I'm interested the Marcian account of the burial of Jesus found in Mark 15: 42-47. Who buried him and where (which I realize actually isn't said in any type of detail in the book of Mark). Mark writes that Joseph of Arimathea, a member of the council that condemns Jesus, is the main one who takes his body, prepares, and lays it in the tomb.
This account is interesting because according to Roman Law after the execution of a criminal proper burial is not custom 1(note: I don't have time to make his subscript). Also, he fact that one of Jesus' condemers would come forth to bury him seems very unlikely.
