This is quite an interesting observation of how the church has developed over the years. Mark 4:29 offers the following idea: The temporal period between planting and reaping is not that between cross/resurrection and a future Last Judgment, i.e., the era of the growth of the kingdom in post-resurrection history, but rather is the era from Isaac to Jesus, with the reaping initiating the period of the church's witness in history.[1] This tells us how before the birth and passion of Christ, Christianity was already an evolving force.
