I wanted to take this class because I went to a baptist school and learned a lot about the bible through a pastoral lens. Now I'd like to see what was truly ment initially when the bible was written. One thing I've alway been curious about is whether or not the context of the bible matters today-or I guess it'd be more correct to say, why the context of the bible isn't important when scripture is interpreted to condem lifestyles and turn attitudes against those lifestyles in the modern age.
